A long season full of highs, lows, and growth has led to this moment — District Week. The Colon Magi will host this year’s MHSAA Division 4 Volleyball District, where four teams will battle for the right to move on to regionals. This year’s district features #1 Mendon, #2 Colon, #3 Burr Oak, and #4 Howardsville Christian. Action begins Tuesday, November 4, with Mendon taking on Howardsville Christian at 5:30 PM, followed by Colon facing Burr Oak in the nightcap at 7:30 PM. The winners will advance to the District Championship, held Thursday at 6:30 PM, also at Colon High School. Last season, the Magi’s year came to an emotional end with a five-set heartbreaker against Burr Oak — a loss that still fuels this year’s squad. The Bobcats went on to fall to Mendon in the district final. Now, a year later, Colon has the opportunity to flip the script and capture its first district title in years.
