Colon Baseball Looks to Stay Hot After Season-Opening Win

Coming off a dominant 10-0 win over Camden-Frontier on Tuesday, the Colon Magi baseball team looks to keep the momentum rolling as they face off against Athens tonight. The Magi were firing on all cylinders in their season opener, with Kayden LaClair turning in a stellar performance on the mound. The right-hander tossed a near-complete game shutout, stifling Camden-Frontier’s offense and setting the tone for Colon’s season. At the plate, it was a true team effort. Colon’s bats were alive from the start, with multiple players stepping up to deliver key hits and drive in runs. The run support gave LaClair everything he needed to cruise through the outing. First-year head coach Ted Stoll earned his first win at the helm, and the team looks hungry to build on their early success. With a strong showing in Game 1 and solid leadership in place, the Magi are poised for a competitive season. Colon takes the field again tonight against conference opponent Athens, looking to push their record to 2-0.
