The 2025 softball season is officially underway, and the Colon Magi are ready to hit the ground running as they begin their campaign at the Sturgis Tournament this Saturday, April 12. Coming off a season that saw them finish just a few games under .500, the Magi are hungry to take the next step. Last year’s campaign was full of competitive moments, none more telling than a narrow 4–5 loss to eventual district champion Burr Oak. That game proved Colon could compete with some of the area’s best — and this season, they’ll be looking to turn those close calls into statement wins. Head Coach Sean Stouder enters the year with a clear vision: improve the team’s record, develop consistent growth, and compete for tournament titles. With a mix of experienced returners and fresh energy, the Magi are poised to do just that. Leading the way this spring will be key players Raegan Thaxton, Peighton Stouder, and Alyssa Hess. Each brings a unique skill set to the field, but all share the same expectation — to deliver strong performances and provide leadership on and off the diamond. Whether it’s coming through in the clutch or setting the tone in the dugout, these three will be critical to Colon’s success. As the team prepares for the Sturgis Tournament and the challenges of a full season ahead, there’s a sense of optimism around the program. With determination, talent, and the right mindset, the Colon Magi are ready to make their mark in 2025.
