This Saturday, all eyes will be on Jabari Falls, the solo wrestler for the Colon Magi, as he competes in the individual district wrestling tournament in Bellevue. It’s a moment months in the making, showcasing his hard work and determination on the mat. Jabari is a multi-sport athlete, who is also successful in football and track and field. This is his first year wrestling despite being a sophomore. Whether it is football, track and field, or even wrestling, Jabari plans to be a college athlete one day. He works extremely hard on and off the mat putting in work constantly. His journey to the individual district tournament has been nothing close to easy. This season has been marked by growth, perseverance, and dedication. He’s always had an interest in sports but it wasn’t until this year, he stepped on to the wrestling mat. His coach, Scott Fox, has said nothing but good things about Jabari. “Since the first practice, I knew Jabari was willing to put in the work to become the best wrestler he can be. Never shied away from the grueling workouts and conditioning. And wanting to wrestle the best to prove to himself he is worthy. With admirable dedication and drive, he has a very promising future in the sport of wrestling. As his coach and wrestling partner, I am beyond proud of Jabari and his accomplishments”- Scott Fox. This season has been a great year for Jabari and advancing to regionals would be a great accomplishment for him. Jabari will wrestle this Saturday, February 8th, at Bellevue High School to compete for his spot in Regionals. We wish him the best of luck.
